🌿Gardening Competition

Whether you grow flowers, food, or make the most of a small space, this is your chance to showcase your skills and care.

Categories

Best flower gardenColourful, well-maintained gardens with strong planting design and seasonal interest
Best food gardenRaised beds, containers, or pots growing vegetables, herbs, or fruit
Best hanging basket / containerBeautifully planted pots, window boxes, or baskets showing creativity and care
Best use of small spaceBalconies, patios, or indoor gardens where space is limited but imagination isn't

1st — €100 garden shop voucher 2nd — €75 3rd — €50

How to enter

Submit 5 clear photos of your garden or space, plus up to 250 words or a 1-minute video telling your garden's story. Tell the judges about your plants, your inspiration, and the work you've put in.

Rules

  • You must be a Co-operative Housing Ireland Member Tenant to enter
  • Gardens in communal or shared green spaces cannot be entered
  • The majority of work must be carried out by the Member Tenant(s) living in the home
  • You may enter more than one category, but the same space cannot be entered in multiple categories
  • If the entrant is under 18, a parent or legal guardian must provide written consent for entry and use of submitted materials
  • By entering, you agree that Co-operative Housing Ireland may share your contact details with judges for judging purposes only, and may use submitted photos to promote the competition and its winners

Judging

Judging takes place in two rounds during June and July. All decisions are final.


🎨Art Competition: “Home Is…”

"Home Is…" invites you to explore what home truly means — a place, a feeling, a memory, or a moment in time. We welcome all ages, all styles, and all stories.

Age categories

Under 12s 13–17 years 18–64 years Over 65s

Prizes (per category)

1st — €100 art supply voucher 2nd — €75 3rd — €50

How to enter

Submit 3 clear photos of your artwork (JPEG or PNG, at least one showing the full piece), plus up to 250 words or a 1-minute video (MP4 or MOV) telling the story of your piece. Total email size must be under 20MB. No filters or edits that alter the artwork.

  • Artwork must be created by the entrant — AI-generated or AI-assisted work is not permitted

  • Submitted images may be used to promote the competition and its winners, and in future publications, newsletters, and non-commercial promotional materials
  • Late entries or entries not meeting the submission requirements may be disqualified
