CHI would like to wish all CHI members and employees a happy International Women’s Day. International Women’s Day takes place each year on the 8th March globally to celebrate the “social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women”. To mark the day, we spoke to two inspirational CHI Members, Winifred Kelly, and Mamy Nzema, about their lives, interests and passions.

Ross and his wife Dorota have recently been given the keys of their new CHI home in Carrigaline, Co. Cork. Together with their two young kids, they’re looking forward to spending Christmas in their new forever home.

We were delighted this year to have new residents move into a brand-new housing estate in Wicklow. Winifred is one such new resident.

Séan Murphy is originally from Curracloe, Co. Wexford. He turned 80 this year during the Covid-19 restrictions, with neighbours and family coming together at a distance to ring in the end of his 80th year.

I live with my daughter, Melissa, in our new CHI home here in Ardfert. We just received the keys in November. We’re originally from Ballyheigue which is just up the road from here. It’s wonderful to get a new home so close to Tralee. We’re less than minutes’ drive from Tralee now.
