#BuildingCommunities | Finding a home after losing everything
June 17, 2021

Co-operative Housing Ireland is delighted to present this short film created by BBC StoryWorks as part of Housing Europe’s Social Housing Film Festival. The film features the story of CHI Members Mustafa Babilli, his wife Muna, their son Mohammad and daughter Maram, who lost their home in Aleppo as a result of the outbreak of the Syrian War.
Through the Refugee Resettlement project in Ireland, CHI, in partnership with Wexford County Council, committed to help some of the families who had to flee from their countries by providing safe places to live for people like Mustafa and his family. This is the story of their six-year journey to find a safe place to call home.
