Co-operative Housing Ireland achieves Investors in Diversity Bronze accreditation
Co-operative Housing Ireland has been awarded the Investors in Diversity Bronze accreditation by the Irish Centre for Diversity.
This is an important step forward for us as an organisation. It recognises the work already underway to create a culture where people feel respected, included and valued and where fairness is part of how we work every day.
The accreditation is based on the FREDIE™ principles: Fairness, Respect, Equality, Diversity, Inclusion and Engagement. It shows that we have strong foundations in place and that we are committed to continuing to build on them.
Investors in Diversity is Ireland’s national framework for supporting organisations to improve how they approach equality, diversity and inclusion. It provides a clear structure to help organisations take practical steps and measure progress over time.
For Co-operative Housing Ireland, this isn’t just about an award. It’s about how we work together and how we support our member tenants and communities. Inclusion is part of our co-operative ethos, and this recognition helps us strengthen that in a real and practical way.
Claire Maynard, Director of People and Culture, Co-operative Housing Ireland, said:
“This accreditation reflects the real work happening across the organisation to build a culture where people feel respected, supported and included. We’re proud of the progress we’ve made, but we also know this is just the beginning. Our focus now is on continuing to listen, learn and take practical steps to make sure inclusion is part of everyday experience for our colleagues and the communities we serve.”
We’re proud of the progress made so far, and we know there is more to do.
Thank you to the Irish Centre for Diversity for their support, and to colleagues across the organisation who have contributed to this work.
