CHI’s announcement of its 4000th Member in Moíneir, Clonmacken, Limerick in August was covered in the Limerick Post by journalist Kathy Masterson.

The thing I love about my job is that every day is different, every day brings a new challenge. I get to meet people from all different backgrounds. It is great to get to know the Members as well and build up relationships with them. It makes doing the work easier and it is easier for them to let workers into their house if they know you personally and feel comfortable.

Before we moved to Mill Heights, we were living in an apartment in Clonard. We were really happy there. We had been there just over two years, having moved in when I was pregnant. We spent the pandemic there.

I have changed address so much over the last few years, especially in the last two, because all the houses I previously lived in ended up being sold by the landlord. Before we moved into our Co-operative Housing Ireland home in March, we had changed addresses three times in six months.

CHI recently partnered with Soar, to run ‘It Takes A Village’ which will see several mental health workshops for CHI young people and parents take place over the coming months.

Niamh recently moved into St. Canice's Hall Finglas with her two daughters.

As part of phase one of the ‘Improving Warmth and Wellbeing Project’, 52 homes in South Earl Street and Sean MacDermott Street recently underwent retrofitting works. The works involved the installation of new windows, doors, air-to-water heat pumps, increased levels of insulation and the installation of new roofs in order to increase comfort levels for Members.
